This is not a sponsored post despite that big yellow and blue logo on the box.
As you know Wille took a bartending course in Dublin in September. When he was still over there we were texting each other about setting up some sort of a bar so he could still practice his stuff at home. There’s no room in the kitchen to organize a bar cabinet so we decided to get a bar cart of some sort. I have had my eyes on this one ever since it came out and have wanted to use it somewhere and saw my chance. After I pinned it someone mentioned that it’s on the small side and after checking the dimensions I sadly realized it is.
So instead we got the Råskog. I’m not happy that it wasn’t available in white but we’re considering a few coats of spray paint. Unfortunately the spray painting season is over so that will be something to tackle come spring.
Anyway, Wille’s a happy camper. All his stuff fits and is easily accessible.
I’m a happy camper too. I get offered all sorts of cocktails! I love seeing Wille do his stuff, it looks so professional! Favorite cocktails so far, the Bee’s Knees and Gimlet.
If Willie wants to really improve his mixology, I'd encourage him to check out Jefrrey Morgenthaler's blog:

Christian - We've checked it out and it's great. Too bad he's not updating it any longer!

Great cart as you've pictured it - looks like just the right size for all Willies bar accessories and bottles.
Benita - I think Ikea should hire you for styling and photography. Your version makes me want one, even though I don't need it, but I would not consider buying it based on Ikea's photo!

Sage - Thanks, that so sweet of you!
Ikea - Sorry I'm not available.

Good luck, Wille and cheers Benita

Oh hey, that was me on pinterest! I also was hoping to buy that for bar stuff, but when I saw it at Dwell On Design I was really disappointed size wise.
I've actually been considering getting that cart to hold my scrapbook supplies though.

I would love to have a grown up bar - what are the basic necessities needed? What alcohol and mixers? :-)

that's wonderful, and I am also wanting a bar cart (I don't know what for, though) no-one in my family ever took up such a useful profession. (does this explain why you were so busy last week? Were you really tasting all the cocktails?:)
Enjoy, Mal

Du löste just ett stort problem för mig. Nu gäller det bara att komma iväg till IKEA.

Dana - I'm still a novice, Wille's the expert. He make his own cordials and syrups and I've bought the basics like Gin, Whiskey, Rum and a few liquors. There's also some stuff in there from my mom's that is God knows how old :).
Gun-Britt - Tips! Just Råskog skickar de som postpaket för bra 49:- i porto! Det var så jag fick hem vår.

So perfect! Wish I had a resident bartender:).
Do you get the tv show "Bar Rescue" in SE? I'm not a bartender but I find the bar stuff pretty fascinating...I think Willie would like it.

Liz - I've never heard if it but I'll check it out!

Ask him to make you a very old fashioned drink called Aviation Cocktail. It is blue and has Creme de Violette. If never actually had one but it just sounds so chic and lovely.
Then report back please :)

I was also coveting the norman copenhagen cart but in person found it to be too small.
I may have to get the ikea in the meantime, while I save up for the Punt Mai Tai trolly, which also comes in the wood and white combo:

Kismet - It's on my to try list! We'll try and make it with violette essence instead of cremed de violette though.

O.k. so where and when should I come? I am packing already.
"Unfortunately the spray painting season is over so that will be something to tackle come spring."
Why this?
I love bar carts like this http://www.details.com/images/style-advice/food-and-drink/201102/full_cart_hss.jpg, but yours is much more practical, since really holding the things together and probaly of a right high...

We actually just got this exact same cart at IKEA, and noticed it was off balance once we put it together (the bottom isn't quite level). Did you have that problem? Any tips?
Posted by: Anna Kristina | October 28, 2013 at 03:12 PM
annakristina - No issues with ours so no tips I'm afraid.
Posted by: Carlos | October 28, 2013 at 03:48 PM
Thanks anyway! I figured it was at least worth asking!

It looks like a good solution for all the craft and hobby stuff I have. With 2 children, I keep a lot of paper, glue, hobby paint ,all things Panduro you know. I do all the hobby stuff at the dinner table in the living room - so we can eat in the kitchen. Maybe it is easier to keep some order (we can hope!) if I have a cart to roll next to the table and take stuff from there. Now I just place plastic boxes on the table, so the work space is soon too small.

The legislation is often complicated and making a declare just isn't commonly effortless. This is the reason you can find professionals within a quantity of numerous fields. By method of example there can be some that concentrate on motoring mishaps while other people are experts in statements involving folks that have been incidents while riding a bicycle.
