Wille's Birthday

So on Friday we celebrated Wille’s 18th birthday. We had cake and he opened gifts as friends and relatives called and texted their birthday wishes.

The gifts included money towards a trip (more on that later), a denim jacket, a pair of Jeans (both Nudie), cash, an iPhone bumper and some other bits and bobs.

 

In the evening we met up with Martin and his girlfriend Cecilia and had dinner at a restaurant in the city and after that Martin and Wille went to a local bar to have another beer. As Wille said “because I can” :).

All in all a great day.

Glad your boy had such a nice celebration. Btw my mother and my step mother became friends...couldn't help it as she was a great person, and as my mom said, " I can get along fine with your father, as long as we don't have to live together"! Haha. I think for Wille, it must have been very good for you all to celebrate together. Well done.

I am a little surprised that so many comments are about divorced parents getting along. I too find it much easier being around my ex when I'm not married to him... :) We have to children together so we speak on the phone several days a week and I don't mind seeing his girlfriend, she is very sweet and also the mother of my childrens little brother. I find it heartbreaking when divorced parents can't even speak to each other.
