It rained ALL Sunday long. So I stayed inside and did a zillion little things on my to-do list. Screw sorting wasn’t one of them but I can’t resist a messy pile of stuff to organize.
This is the messy pile. It consists of all the screws from the old demolished kitchen, some left over bits and pieces from the new kitchen and a bunch of I-don’t-know-where-that came-from-but-it-might-come-in-handy-stuff.
I sorted it in front of the TV watching a rerun of Midsomer Murders while keeping Wille company for breakfast.
And here’s the finished result. Not a stray screw, nail or do-dad left in da house. Ah, I can breathe now.
definitely the sort of task that requires a good bit of entertainment to ease the process. i like the storage you've chosen. x

I also enjoy the storage. Please share where you got the boxes! :)

The boxes are from IKEA.

Those last two pictures say, "aaaahhhh." That little tray you have is pretty much what my husband's entire work table looks like in the basement. Well add some tools, batteries etc. Will be picking up some of those boxes next trip to IKEA.

Are these the boxes that Ikea sells their screws and such in or do they sell them empty too? Looks very useful.

This http://www.ikea.com/se/sv/catalog/products/10073345 is the box. I think it's bigger than the one's they sell the screws in?

I really wish that you could come to my house to sort out all my do - dads so I can breathe! And we could watch Midsomer Murders!

Haha! Jag känner igen mig. Man kan sortera allt och då har man dessutom koll på läget. Man kan andas ut ;)

Nice! I like it, I have to sort my scrapbookstuff like that. Well, maybe next time when it rains. And it rains a lot here in norway!

That looks like a fun and therapeutic thing to do. So relaxing and satisfying!

Fabulous! You're such an inspiration to me to keep neat and tidy, when I do not have any of those genes in my being!

Perfect. Thank you. Presently out of stock unfortunately (Kungens Kurva). Only blue ones in stock (which I don't want). I've at the moment got all my screws and nails and such stuff in black and white KASSETT CD-boxes, which is not the optimal solution as they swallow too much stuff and you cannot see what is in them. No matter what I write on the label, other things sneak down into them. I'll have a look for the ones you use next time I go to IKEA. Thanks for the tip.

It's amazing how much better one actually feels *inside* when you see the things all nicely organised. I think I might have "closet OCD" - where I *really* want to organize things, but haven't yet accepted the fact that I should. Heh.
