My 80+ mom doesn't want much in terms of gifts. She says she has it all and needs nothing nowadays but I remembered that she mention needing a key strap after losing her keys walking the dog recently.
I had a hard time finding a nice looking strap though and decided to reuse the hardware from one of Wille's old ones that he's no longer using.
Then I got some nice ribbon from the craft store and because it was kind of thin, stitched it together for double thickness before adding the clip at the end.
Pretty and practical! And yes, I need to clean and repaint that trim. It's on The List.
Snyggt handtag!
Grattis till vinsten!

LOVE that door handle. And what a great idea for a gift, as always.

It's original to the 1937 house I'm afraid but these http://www.byggfabriken.com/sortiment/dorrhandtag/funkisdorrhandtag/teak-med-slat-andknopp/info/produkter/550-282-funkistrycke-teak/are of a similar 30's style and are still being produced. I'm getting them in white http://www.byggfabriken.com/sortiment/dorrhandtag/funkisdorrhandtag/vit-bakelit-med-slat-andknopp/info/produkter/550-202-funkistrycke-vit-bakelit/ for the rest of the doors as this one, unfortunately, is the only one of this design in the house.
