Here's a super quick and simple holiday decoration I created for Aby's holiday workshop.
I love string lights and have them up as soon as it gets darker outside which basically means they're up from September through March. To jazz up the one in my livingroom for the holidays I just tied on red wrapped candy between the lights.
Hey presto and Yum!
Så gulligt! Jag älskar också ljusslingor och använder dem precis som du...de ger alltid lite mysig stämning!

What a clever idea. This is my first visit to this beautiful space of yours. So nice to meet you.

I love the look of this, but I have a feeling that the candies wouldn't last until Christmas in my house. They would secretly disappear one by one and I would find all of the wrappers behind the sofa! (Of course my 6 & 9 yr old DS's would deny any knowledge of the disappearances.) Ahh, the temptations of Christmas with kids. Great idea though, and I suppose if you couldn't find all red candies or if you wanted to save them to use for many years; you could make your own with red cellophane and chunks of styrofoam. Imagine the kids surprise when they find out that they aren't even real.

I loved the pictures when I first saw them. And I still love them. The red and white is so my taste. And it's so easy! Some small items make the lights really great. I love love love the lights with the candies.
