This is so funny. There seems to be a rainy theme going on in my house. One more rainy item and I have a collection. You know that three equals collection, right?
Hold on. Wait a minute. All I need to do is to wait for the real thing. It's bound to start raining as soon as the colder temperatures are over. My collection will be complete!
Rainy art by Matteart Matte Stephens and Cosas Mínimas Blanca Gomez.

Are any of you familiar with Berlin, Germany ?(Apparently there's a Berlin, USA too!) I'm going there for the first time in March and have two days to gather Easter inspiration for work. I'd love some tips on fun shops that I might not find if I just wander around the main shopping streets. Thanks in advance!
It is not really a fun shop, it is a chocolate shop at the Gendarmenmarkt :)
It is called Fassbender & Rausch :)
They have so many delicious things, you should really check it out :)

3 equals collection? Then I have tons of collections ;) as I often buy three ones ;)
I think KDW is an inspiration for you, but I can't tell you more, I've only been there once.

Hi Benita, Berlin is great, I go there 2 oder 3 times a year, because my best friend moved there. I'll collect some of my fave adresses later! I'll have fun for sure!

Hi Benita!
Well, I live in Berlin. What shops in particular are you looking for? I think Holly from Decor8 has a nice list of Berlin design and home decor shops on one of her blogs (www.hollymaus.blogspot.com). I´ll think about whether there is anything else I would add to that list. Anyway, if you have any questions regarding your visit, feel free to email me.

Such cute pictures. We went to Berlin last year. Loved it. We didn't really shop - sorry, but the architecture was really inspiring.

Hi, I am Sabrina and I live in Prenzlauer Berg, a creative, lively and inspiring quarter of Berlin (there are others, too) so I want to take you on a visit through my neihgbourhood: On a saturday, you can start your day with a big coffee at the wonderful market at "Kollwitzplatz" in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg. It's a weekly market with food and lovely crafted things and always full of people. Look around, there are many shops and cafes beside this square place. Then turn in direction to "Kastanienallee" and pass Kulturbrauerei, a large historical building, very interesting inside. There is a company that offers guided cycle tours through Berlin. I never did one, but always want to. At "Kastanienalle", nickname "Casting-Alley", you'll find many fashion and design stores. Here are always berlin-styled hip people on the street, mostly having a stroller with them. You may know that Prenzlauer Berg has the highest birth-rate in whole Germany. Go ahead, but don't miss the "Oderberger Straße" with its vintage shops and the "Kauf dich glücklich", a cafe with furniture from the 50s/60s, that offers the best waffles, I had. At the end of Oderberger Strasse there is the "Mauerpark", where the wall divides east- from westgermany 'til 1989. You have to come back on sunday, because then you'll find the biggest fleamarket of berlin there. I like it, hope the weather would be nice. In March.. maybe difficult. So back at Kastanienallee, walk along the street, enjoy the shops and stop at "Frau Tulpe" a small independent fabric store at "Veteranenstrasse". You could also hang your feet in a footbath at "Fussbadcafe" at Zionskirchstrasse and take a break. Now you are in Berlin Mitte. Kastanienallee connects Prenzlauer Berg and Berlin Mitte. So, if you have some energy, take the tram line M1 to Hackescher Markt and visit all the shops at Alte Schönhause Allee and Hackesche Höfe. Look in the first, second and third backyards! You'll like it :)

Ooooh what cute rainy art work!! Specially love the yellow dress. Oh i'm sure you'll love Berlin! It's one of my favourite cities in the world! So full of history! You must go for the city walking tour, think they leave from the main train station and is only 10 euros for like a four hour tour! It's really interesting! Have fun sweetie and safe travels!

Hi, I live in Berlin too and I would mention Friedrichshain to go to. There is the Boxhagener Platz you can visit and find so many inspiring small shop in the streets around. You can go by S-Bahn to the station called Ostkreuz and walk to the Boxhagener Platz and you will find those cute little stores (i.e. Perlerei).
And you shouldn't miss the KaDeWe, but if you are there, you have to visit their creativity shop, it's right across the street when you leave through a side entry, just ask one of the security guys. I love this shop, they have so many fabrics and everything else one can need for crafting.
email me, if have some more questions.
I love to live in Berlin :)

I also have a Matte Stephens print. I have a daughter names Vivienne, which apparently is his wife (?). A lot of his prints are of her, so we got the Double Sided Vivienne last year. I love mine and highly recommend his prints for everyone's home!

I definitely have to chime in and say yes, you MUST go to Prenzlauer Berg. I was in Berlin Summer '07 and absolutely fell in love with it. Such a dynamic, incredible city. If I only spoke German I would live there in a heartbeat. Have an AMAZING time!
