I've fallen into the Kusmi trap!
Usually we are not fancy tea drinkers. We get a generic Earl Grey and have so far been happy. But because the gorgeous packaging of the Kusmi teas I just had to get some. I'm a sucker for lovely packaging. Either a great package or no package is my rule of thumb.
I'm not a fan of fruity teas, you know the kind that tastes of berries or apples (although I have to say the color on those tins have me salivating and are making me want the tins alone) so I got me a pack of five small tins of Russian teas blends and am pretty much hooked. Two tins are in the office at work, the smokey Samovar and Earl Grey-y St Petersburgh.
Three tins are at home, Prince Vladimir, Anastasia and Troika. Don't you just love the names? I'll continue sampling and then get me a big tin of my favorite. Have you tried Kusmi? Which one's your fave?
UPDATE: I've added lots of Kusmi teas in my Amazon store if you have problems finding some locally.
I am a tea lover and love to try different kinds of tea from all over the world. I have a feeling this tea is tasteful. I also have to admit that the packaging is pretty and would buy it just for that!!

I got a tin with Kusmi Anastasia for Christmas from my son Peter. I tried it the other day now when I'm back in Amman and, my God, it's really fantastic! The taste and the scent is marvellous! You have to try Anastasia too!

Sounds and looks lovely! Where do I get it in Stockholm?
Posted by: anna | February 05, 2009 at 05:13 PM

Posted by: Zarah | February 05, 2009 at 05:35 PM

Hej Benita! That's so funny! Yesterday I got my first Kusmi Tea Ordering. I ordered the blends Spicy chocolate, Irish Blend and a small caddy decaffeinated Earl Grey. I will post something about this at my nicoletter-blog now. Best wishes, Nico

It is funny you posted this today, my friend just served me this tea this morning, the red and blue box, I forgot the flavor. I just loved the muslin bag but the packaging is as delicious as the tea! Not sure where she got it but we are in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ooh! I love the names and the tins! I love keeping old tins like these to store little arts & crafts or office supplies in - I love the old fashioned Irish Oatmeal tins, too. And somehow I think that drinking a tea called "Samovar" would make me feel better about freezing my butt off this winter! Maybe I'll have to get some...

Ha! Yet another reason you are my favorite blogger! I have the same assortment and I love them all although Troika is my favorite in this bunch. I live in the Midwestern US so Kusmi is hard to find but I got this batch on a recent trip to Montreal.

I am not into fruity drinks but I absolutely love Russian teas. The are geniuses with tea and the best Russian brand features Czar Nicolas on the package and comes in many tasty flavors, but unfortunately it is not a lasting tin - just a bag :( I'll be on the lookout for Kusmi!

OOH I would love to try these teas! Do they sell them in the US? MAybe World Market?

Mimi and Christina and other US tea drinkers, you can find Kusmi here www.us.kusmitea.com.
Canadians can find it here www.kusmitea.ca

Åhh! Underbara burkar!
Trevlig helg

When visiting Copenhagen in December I had the feeling that the whole city had cought 'Kusmi-fever' because it was *everywhere*. I also got smitten and bought my partner a big tin for Christmas. I really, really wanted to get him the turqouise Prince Vvladimir but remembering his preference for pure black teas I got him the Russian Morning No. 24. And he loves it!
But even though a big tin provides us with tea for the next year or so, I might also get a smaller tin of the St. Petersburg ... and perhaps the Samorvar .. and... ;)

I am a sucker for packaging too.

I'm crazy about filling my kitchen with pretty boxes and jars. Thanks for the inspiration with Kusmi tea!

Oh...I love Kusmi teas! My favourite ones are "Prince Vladimir" and "Spicy Chocolate".
One good thing about being a flight attendant (or "glorified waitress", lol) is, that we are able to buy a great item directly in the country it is from...no shipping costs either...:)
Anyway, you need to try the "Spicy Chocolate". I went through the can in record time.
Greetings!

I am totally guilty of buying tea and cocoa I didn't need specifically because of the pretty tin it came in. If it happens to taste good, well, that's just a bonus!
