I'm back home again! Slightly jet-lagged but ok. Although New York City was great, it's always nice to be back home.
I'm envious of people living in New York City for several reasons. One being all the wonderful stationary and craft shops. Check out these cool envelopes made out of real maps!
Sometimes I wish I didn't make my own Christmas cards because it would just be so much fun to pick out the cards over there. I didn't get any cards, but some fun craft notions, glittered letters and gift labels instead.
Here are some of the paper/craft shops I love
Other faves which are not paper/craft stores include
You can get map envelopes elsewhere, too! ::coughclicklinkabovecough::
And so this isn't just me tooting my own horn, there are a lot of folks on Etsy who make the envelopes without the stationery to go with it; quick searches for
"map envelope" yield a bunch of results. :)
Thanks for posting Sunday about Pearl River Mart; I'm going to the Bust Craftacular [http://www.bust.com/craftacular/] on Sunday in Manhattan and am now going to visit Pearl River Mart as well. It looks so fun (though slightly dangerous) for a paper-lover like me. :)

I need a NYC trip soon...January I think..and your list of places is a treasure trove of Must See places. Last trip I did food, food, food - mostly in Brooklyn.

Jac, that card came from the Moma Store. Designed by Ted Naos www.naosgraphics.com according to the enclosed info.

Isn't Pearl River Mart fabulous?! One of my favorite stores -- and it was just a few blocks away from my old NYC apartment. I miss living there!
And don't even get me started on Kate's Paperie ... it was a dangerous place to be for a poor, paper-loving student like me :o)

Hi Benita,
I'm glad you got an opportunity to drop by Sam Flax. The thanks go to Martha, though. ;) She's been a fan for years.
Your post inspired me to go through a big box of cards and envelopes. A lot of them I plan to donate as they no longer interest me. The others I plan to store someplace more accessible. Where do you store cards, envelopes, paper pads???

Jean, I'll do a post on that :)!
