I woke up this morning to a snow storm and it has continued snowing all day. Here's what it looked like when I came home after work today.
After I took these photos I had to take the shovel out and make little paths so Mini and Bonus would be able to get around.
It's still snowing ...
On Saturday our friends Sanna and Sebastian came over and we had Glögg, dinner and made our Christmas cards. I'd been thinking about mine for months and considered a million versions but in the end I made them super simple. Less is more this year.
My, my that IS snow and now realizing you may have this kind of weather for quite a few months. hmmmmm Wish I had a card or craftmaking friend nearby. I shall envision her!

That snow looks lovely. So pretty with the evening light.

Oh yes, lovely pictures!
Especially the first one, with the light shining through the window.
We had a lot of snow yesterday, so when I went to bed last night, I planned on removing the snow on our garden path this morning... then at least the postman or other guests wouldn't slip on their way to our front door...
But, when I woke up this morning, the path was clear, the only snow left was on the cars. So no nice pictures here...

I *LOVE* the Christmas cards! So cute!

So pretty! I am in Australia like Libby, and sometimes I think how wonderful it must be to have a white christmas. Then again, there is nothing better than fresh seafood and a BBQ Christmas lunch, followed by an afternoon spent in the pool or at the beach.
Love the Christmas cards!

We're expecting a snow storm tonight and through tomorrow, so I'm getting ready!
Barb F (and Libby) -- I couldn't imagine a hot Christmas, let alone a Christmas barbeque!

Benita - the snow is so lovely. I guess it must really feel like winter now. And your cards are great !
Posted by: Annie | November 24, 2008 at 08:22 PM
Isn't it wonderful. I hope this means it will be mostly white for winter. Last year was a bit disappointing.
I keep forgetting to tell you my cat box resolution - I put up a baby gate to the room where the cat food and litter are. It works purrfect (sorry, couldn't resist). Also, the pillow case looks wonderful now that I finally filled it. And I wanted to see if you saw the Martha Stewart suggestion on plastic trash bags. She suggests folding them up and putting them in empty tissue paper boxes. I've had a cold for two weeks so I had an empty box - tried it and it works GREAT!
Take care!

Thanks for the wonderful pics, Benita! I will have to look at them over and over when it is 40C here (in Western Australia).
And thanks Monica for mentioning cat litter trays... I was wondering to myself "where do Mini and Bonus (and all the cold weather cats) go to scratch around with all the snow"!!!

Monica, so glad you found a solution!
Patia, it's Bonus :) Mini is a little upset that she didn't get on the card this year, but I've discussed it with her. She'll get an extra snack and the promise to be on next year's.

I was wondering about you when I heard on the news that Sweden had a major snow storm. I checked your blog first thing, because I knew you would have beautiful pictures. I especially like the second picture with the glow from the street lights and the warm glow from the lights in the houses. The snow is beautiful. I will have to enjoy from afar, as we very rarely even see snow in south Alabama!
