Check this out!
It was Martin's birthday the day after Martin and Wille returned from Greece. Martin got his present, a camera, before they left because I didn't want to part with mine for a whole week. Need it for blogging.
The photo above was taken by Wille with that camera. It's a Pentax Optio W30 and it's waterproof! They were on a boat trip to an island where there are giant sea tortoises and Wille simply stuck his hand down the side of the boat into the water and the photo above was the outcome. So amazing!
There were other creatures in the greek waters too :) click to view.
I still have to figure out how make the movie file smaller so it doesn't take so long to view. Do any of you know how that's done? I removed the movie file. It took too long to view and seemed to slow things down so much.
I just love turtles and that picture is awesome and very blue. I would have been afraid to stick my waterproof camera under water. I hope you don't think I am silly but does the camera float? Did he have a wrist strap to keep it from falling in the water? seriously I would like to know.
I am so happy I found your blog via Yvestown blog she has you listed on her blogroll. I am going to add you to mines, you have a great sense of style and order which is something I aspire to. I have to get my papers in order and by that I mean all my books notebooks and catalog tear outs. I see that it can be done so I am going to try harder. You blog rocks!

Mona, it doesn't float... in fact it looks just like a regular, non water proof one which is a little freaky. There is a wrist strap though which they tightened really hard. They were both a little uncomfortable when using it in the water at first and kept double checking "is the camera there" they told me.
I'm so glad you like the blog :)

Excuse the lack of blog etiquette but I have added you to my blog roll as well a while back but only just thought that it would be the done thing to let you know! I had to share my find of your blog though as check it every day and it is totally inspiring! Hope Martin had a lovely birthday :-), Lesley x

hej,
it's so nice to read your lovely blog. i'm in absolute awe of your talent organize.thank you for sharing!
tonight i spent looking through some of your old posts, and was happy to see you asking a question i might be able to answer... about making moviefiles smaller: there is a really neat free program called mpeg streamclip (you can get it at www.squared5.com ... works for mac and pc). you can change format & size. is also very practical to create films for the ipod (i'm thinking that your son might want to watch a film on his iphone..)
mette
i actually don't know if you notice comments on old post... i'm just giving it a try...
