I'm curious.
I've noticed that you, sweet readers, are really from all over the world. So amazing. Can I just ask you how you found my blog? My blog stats only tell me so much and I'd love to hear how you ended up reading my little posts from way over here in Sweden.
Also, is there anything in particular you'd like to read about or see photos of? Those of you who've already written and asked for specific topics, I promise, they're coming up soon!
The peonies above from my garden are for you!
this is my first time here at your blog. i found you because one of my favourite bloggers www.crazyauntpurl.com linked to your flickr page and then i ventured over here from there...

Hello - I found you on Apartment therapy a few weeks ago (I think) and I am so glad I did. Your blog is very inspiring. I'm curious how you keep all your whites so clean. We had white hand towels but they didn't look pretty after a while even after washing.
Posted by: Christine | June 22, 2008 at 11:54 AM
Hi! I'm not sure which blog i was reading that had your blog on it's favorites list! But i'm really glad ive found it!
I love your photos and mostly am so amazed by how you've managed to build all that furniture on your own.
I'm from Singapore and and my husbands from Sweden....we're hoping to back move to Sweden as soon as we can!
Your blog is truly an inspiration to me. Makes me want to go to Sweden right NOW!
Thank you!

I've been a fan of your flickr photos since Day One and had hoped you'd become a blogger!
Love your blog!
QUESTION: I have a place for mail when it comes in - and I recycle the junk mail. But can you walk us through how you handle mail, bills, etc. and how you store your paperwork - maybe how you decide what goes where?
I have a basket of unopened mail..I will open it soon - but have no clear routine to follow with the paperwork.
thanks :)
PS: I too would love to see how you organize/store your clothes and maybe toiletries too.

Hello! I also came from the link on Crazy Aunt Purl's website. I'm so glad I found you...I live in a small apartment and need all the organization and decorating help I can get. Plus I love your cat stuff.

I only discovered the blogging world recently...with Design*Sponge's DIY contest. We were both finalists and I fell in love with the peak into your son's room. Then you turned up on Cookie and I discovered your flikr stream...I've been smitten with your home and meticulous style from the first moment. I can't tell you how thrilled I was when you started this blog...I'm a regular visitor...all the way for Northeastern US. Thanks for each helpful and inspiring post!

I found you via kirtsy I think, which referenced the apartment therapy site. I love your aesthetic and style... not to mention your amazing organizational skills. Thanks for all the great ideas!

I don't remember exactly how I found your blog, perhaps via Flickr or Apartment Therapy. I am absolutely fascinated by your organization skills and your "clean and simple" living style. The minute I saw the pictures of your home, I knew I would become an instant fan.

I live in a suburb of Seattle. I discovered the photos of your home from Flickr's IKEA in My Home {the boat room} or through a trail of favorites on Flickr from Yvonne Eijkenduijn or Ali Edwards. Looking at the favorites of others on Flickr is a wonderful way to be introduced to images.

I think I found your log at desiretoinspire, if that's were you are in the favorites. I love interior blogs, specially since I move next months and need inspirations!
I love your blog! I have douzens of bookmarks in my furniture folder, but yours is one of my daily reads! You are a great inspiration!

I came from Crazy Aunt Purl too. Laurie (aka Crazy Aunt Purl) mentioned you in her June 17th blog. She linked to both your flickr page and blog - can't get to flickr from work so I came to your blog. I love it!
And from yours I found Lindzi.blogg.se. Can't read a word of it, but she has beautiful photos!! It's amazing where you can end up by following links.
Thanks again for your blog! (and the flowers - they're gorgeous)

I found you at Crazy Aunt Purl's blog. She linked to your blog.
I would love to see pictures of your town, the foods you eat, the places you go, what you grow (if anything) --- just basic stories of how you live your life, the ordinary stuff that is so different from my ordinary stuff in the near-tropics.

Well i don't really remeber where I found you. It must have been something about your roompicture (I don't even remember if that is a workspace or something else). Then I checked out your flickr page and saw that you have a blog. and here I am.
I really love the way your house is organized. I love your kitchen.
When I read the Apartment Therapy tips I aksed myselöf how you make your hubby to throw away stuff. I really can't keep everything he likes. ;)

I found out you had a blog via AT LA, but I have always been a fan of your pictures (via the usual big blogs D*S being one, I think?). Anyway, I am so inspired by your organizational skills! I wish I could be so tidy. I would love for you to advise on what I should store in these big cupboards I have in the bedroom and hallway. I know they are supposed to be linen closets (at least the one in the hallway) but they are so impossibly deep I can't imagine how I would access items stored in the very back.
Maybe that could be a feature on your blog! We send in our storage conundrums, and you give your opinion on how to remedy?
Posted by: Jules | June 22, 2008 at 01:15 PM
I came through CAP's blog this morning. I'm in Luxembourg, but I've been to Sweden (Knivsta, with visits to Stockholm and Uppsala... mostly for shopping hehehe) several times. I love Clas Ohlsons'... and the other shop where you can find loads of snicksnacks is Tiinmarii or something like that hehehe. I don't know how to spell it.
Cheers Eva

I either found you on Design Sponge or Cookie. Your new blog is so much up my alley it's scary. I fell in love with your tidy, bright and (very!) organized house. Every time I see pictures of your house, I'm inspired to go clean out or organize a closet or the laundry room. No kidding! Here's an odd request, I'd love to see the inside of your refrigerator! There is a food magazine here in the US that features celebrity refrigerators and it's so much fun to see what they keep in there.

Hmmm, let's see. I think I found Superhero Designs during a random search for Superhero items. Through Superhero Designs I THINK I found Design Sponge, and through Design Sponge I found you! I love the internet... what a crazy web of connection. Anyway, I love your blog and usually check every day to see if you have posted something new :). Thank-you for all of the visual eye candy and inspiration you give us here!

hmmm, I think Apartment Therapy. But like everyone else, I fell in love with you style and took a look at your flickr pictures. Which, of course, led us to your blog. Plus, the fact that you live in Sweden and reference Swedish stores (love Clas Ohlson!!) confirms that I can make my home beautiful outside of the US!! Thanks Benita!!! :-)

Hi from Louisiana where it's VERY hot and humid now. I originally linked to your blog from one of these: Apartment Therapy, Unclutterer, Rearranged Design. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I read all of those (and now your lovely blog) every day and it's all kind of a blur. You are doing a FABULOUS job with your postings. I enjoy all of them. Thanks!

I find your blog so inspirational and really enjoying seeing how you organise your lovely home.

I live in London. I found your flickr page through apartment therapy, and then started reading your blog. I think you are the most inspiring source for organisational tips that I have ever found (including magazines and books), I suppose because I really believe that you live like that - its not just a set up for a magazine shoot.
We live in a small house with two small children (under 1000 square metres) and I find it really motivating to see a house that is small, beautiful and perfectly adapted to the people who live there. I like the boat too.
I'd like tips for storing bath toys, but I think you might be past that stage!

So nice of you to ask! I think the fisrt time I came across you was via sfgirlbybay. I checked your FlickR photos, your Etsy shop, fell in love with your beautiful house up until the day I found out about your blog! This is trully an addiction (a healthy one!) as you manage to bring out the simplest solutions and ideas for things I considered huge problems!
Thanks a lot for sharing it with us and keep up the good work!

Apartment Therapy, literally just days after you started this blog.
I'm curious about your clothing storage, but I remember from the last blog post that you will be showing that soon.

I found your blog when I did an image search for "shoe storage" and your flickr account came up -- I am attracted to the fact that you are, piece by piece, making a relatively modest home into your dream. I am in the middle of a similar journey in northern Colorado, USA. You have a wonderful eye for color and design and you also seem to find ingenious ways to live with and celebrate the "warts" inherent to any house. Very inspiring!

I came to your flickr photos via apartment therapy (which was referred to on another blog I read - can't remember which one). I subscribed to your flikr feed just weeks before you started your blog. I just love your clean organised style.

Hello Benita -
I found you (as have many others recently!) through Crazy Aunt Purl. I am always interested in functional design, as my house is 624 square feet (57.9 square metres) and has many, many wonderful windows...so no storage space on the walls. It is a challenge, but I will not sacrifice the views for closets :)
I hope to be inspired by your methods of combining beauty with function.
It would be even better, however, if you would come visit me and build things... :)

G'day. I'm from Brisbane, Australia. I originally found you through Flickr, just browsing favourites, then read on Decor8's blog you had your own. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful home, it's inspiring. And now I've found a heap of organisation blogs which feeds another fetish! Look forward to more....
Posted by: Sara B | June 22, 2008 at 08:48 PM
Found you through D*S, if I recall correctly! One of the biggies, anyway. It was the photo of your kitchen; the white tiles and shelves and the two stools. Made a big impression.
And then one click leads to another, as we know, and hours are lost to Flickr in wondrous admiration.
As others have said, it's the little corners of your home that I've loved seeing (and to the fridge suggestion, I say yes!). I also appreciate the detail and photos on your diy projects. I get a real sense of how they came together, the level of difficulty, how long they took, and so on.
Would love to see more of your daily routine (in the vein of Erin's DAILIES). I'm good at the big one off organisational projects but less successful in the drip drip drip of everyday life. Before I know it ~ mess and clutter again.

CrazyAuntPurl.com mentioned your site, and I've always been a fan of Swedish living/design. I grew up North of Chicago near the lake in an ethnically Scandinavian neighborhood (I'm German-American, and the only child in my elementary school who wasn't part Swedish). However, I still love my crisp lines, primary colors, tailored design, and the feeling that we should capture as much winter sunlight as we can.
Your site is a good fit. Plus, it's so refreshing that you're designing functional family space on a budget.

I found you on flickr. I was joyed to find someone with a passion, nay talent for home organisation. I have used a few of your ideas and hope to use more when I have the places to implement them. I look forward to each and every post from you - I was so happy when you became a blogger!
I'd love to see more about how you organise inside your kitchen and other food cupboards.
Oh and cleaning products etc.

I live in Stuttgart Germany and I found you through a link from the Hausmaus blog. Wow, you are super organised! I have a 6 bedroom house and I still do not have enough space for everything we own. I'm loving your storage tips. Compared to your talents I am definitely a work in progress.

Hi, I believe I found you through Apartment Therapy.

I love your blog! I found you through Ali Edwards site when she mentioned the Apartment Therapy site and I've been reading your stuff ever since. I too would love to see how you organize toiletries. I have way too much stuff on the bathroom counter and am into minimizing clutter as much as possible.
I organized my sewing thread today with an inexpensive wooden thread spool rack. It looks awesome.
Thanks for all your tips and all you share.

From the Flickr group very small houses, or was it tiny houses. Well, diminutive dwellings in some fashion. Nice blog!

Hi Benita,
I ran into you on flickr and on apartmenttherapy.com.
I'd love to read about any aspect of the interior of your home, things that have inspired you, design advice that you'd have for others, ideas you have for rooms that you haven't yet implemented, etc.
Love your blog!
